Question: Does this come with brackets for attaching a headboard or do you need to buy those separately?
Answer: No brackets are included. But there are holes drilled into it for that purpose.
Question: The picture shows that you can basically put this inside of a bed to use as a box spring/base... has anyone tried to use it this way?
Answer: That's exactly how I used it! I have a frame (headboard/footboard/side-rails) and set this inside of it so I could use one of those foam deals as a mattress. It fit perfectly inside and the pair of foam pads worked out just as you would hope.
Question: Do these frames fold up? i want to use it as an extra bed but need to fold it up out of the way when we're done using it.
Answer: Yes it does. It comes folded up in a box and you could carry up the steps by yourself.
