Description
Think small with BlurryRobot! These aluminum advertising thimbles were a popular giveaway, especially in prewar America. The Churngold Company was formed in 1920 to acquire the Ohio Butterine Co of Cincinnati, and another Ohio company, both of which made what we'd nowadays call margarine. Their inexpensive substitute for butter would soon prove highly marketable in an economically depressed America, but in the 1920s they were in the same business as everyone else...messing about with stock! Not so different from 2020s America, when you think about it!
This nearly 100 year old thimble is in good condition, considering its age. Paint is flaked and worn.
